August 27 - Molle to Copenhagen, Sweden/Denmark
Friday, 26 September 2008 22:28

Unexpectedly contrary to the bright weather yesterday evening, the morning was again a downpour. We stayed in the tent till about 9.30 am when the rain eased and this time we only had the tent to put down which we did in 15 minutes. Before we left the campsite Alison made some nasi lemak for a change.

As the town of heisburg is only 30 kms from Molle, we were at the ferry terminal by 1 pm. The ticket to cross cost SKr 335 which for a crossing of only 20 minutes is rather steep as compared to the ferry in Segert. We took the route 152 as advised by Ragnvald and unfortunately the rain spoilt our leisurely drive into Copenhagen.

We stopped before Copenhagen to savoir our nasi lemak in the drizzle and fortunately for us it wasn’t that cold, around 17 deg C. We then continued into Copenhagen centre and although it was still raining it gave us a good feeling of the city. We thought we should not miss the Little Mermaid and discovered that it is called Den Lille Havfrue and we had passed the sign earlier on while driving in. We had a quick look to see where it is and hopefully by morning when the have stopped we could get a better look at it.

We checked in at the Camping Charlottenlund Fort pretty early and this time I had the awning up to give us some protection from the rain if it continued. While relaxing after putting up the awning the Swiss couple who was at the campsite in Molle turned up. It just shows that the camping world is s small!
