I had the unusual pleasure of having breakfast on my own this morning because Adrian wasn't up and Alison was too tired to get up after spending half the night on the computer. Mind you she is doing a great job updating the photo gallery besides keeping Adrian's journal going. So I let her sleep and brought back a cup of coffee for her.

At 9am Alison's alarm went, a reminder for me to take my INR reading today, but it was far too early to report to the Anticoagulation unit in UK. I thought I would wait a little later while complaining to Alison about my back aching. It could be the mattress or the way I slept last night. When it was time to test my blood, the machine kept on giving “error” message and I couldn't figure out why. I changed the battery and Alison asked me where the instruction manual was, and of course I didn't know were it was! How could she expect me to remember something as important as that? All I could remember was the fact that I could get it on the internet.

I opened a new tube of test strip (which will be expiring in August 2009), change the battery and still couldn't get the error message off. Alison found the Coagucheck site and reminded me that I had to change the chip for the machine to recognise the new strips. I remembered then that the chip would be inside the box together with the tube of strips. I got the reading to my relief which was 2.5, but must remember to get a new tube of test strips that will take me beyond August 2009. After calling the anticoagulation unit we were ready to go.

We headed for the biggest McDonalds in the world and when we got there Alison was waylaid by a smooth talking saleslady who wanted us to attend a talk in exchange for A low price tickets to the Theme Parks. The lady was all over us until she found out that our combined income did not reach the minimum expected which was USD80k. How did she expect me to have such an income when I was travelling, the stupid jerk?

Anyway McD had a lot of different items on the menu and I settled for Buffalo chicken sandwich which tasted great but I could just manage to finish it, having to leave a full container of chips behind. Alison took Adrian upstairs to play while I finished my meal. The saleslady never came back to tell us if we qualified to attend the talk or otherwise. If she did I would have asked her to promise that nobody would hassle us to buy the time share she was selling.

Our next stop was Lego shop which was set in the Disney Downtown Market place. It was a great place to go to as there was no entrance fees as it was meant to be a promotional area for the real thing. Adrian we found wasn't interested in Micky Mouse and was pretty scared of the T-Rex which was howling with it jaws opening and shutting. He needed a lot of assurance that these things are mechanical and even then he was not very convinced clinging to Alison.

I offered to take Alison to a factory outlet to which she readily agreed. Apparently she already put in the coordinates on the GPS, trust her! As I got Adrian ready to go to play area, a lady came rushing asking if we were really Malaysians. Susie apparently now lives in Miami and was rather exited when she saw Tuah and us. We got chatting and soon had to part company with a promise to call her and er friend Leo, when we get to Miami.

We stopped by at the so called information centre to ask if they really offer discount tickets and it turned out to be the same scam of having to attend a sales talk. We decided to by the tickets to the Sea World on the internet but only realised that the tickets could only be bought at least 7 days prior to validity dates. It looked like we may have to pay the full price after all!
