It was a lazy morning for us and for brunch Susie cooked oat broth and it was delicious. I am beginning to think that we are being spoilt and tomorrow we definitely have to leave, come rain or shine. Otherwise we get too comfortable and then it would be difficult to move on. The rest of the morning we spent updating the website. Susie wanted to show us the skyline of Miami and of course Miami Beach. We couldn't stop to take photos but I managed to capture some parts of Miami skyline on video. We passed the cruise terminal and there were four big cruise ships berthed two of which were Norwegian Cruise line ships where Susie used to work. Then we came to the beach and it was fascinating to see the number of people eating and drinking in the outlets when it was still boiling hot outside. But then again how often do these people get to Miami? All the buildings facing the beach had to maintain the old facade and it was nice to see such old buildings with full of character. There is a strip of land between the buildings and the beach where roller blading and cycling is allowed, with abundance of coconut trees. Unfortunately the beach itself is unprotected from the hot sun. We then drove further along the beach and Adrian was given a chance to wade in the water while I sat and enjoyed the pastry that Susie introduced us to , something like curry puff but not as hot. But soon enough Alison brought Adrian back after having spotted a sanitary napkin floating in the sea. Shower was a block away and I was grateful I didn't have to take Adrian to wash off the salt. The two girls went happily chatting away. Although it was a bit early to go back, we decided to get home so that Adrian could have his dinner before we ourselves went out as Susie and Leo insisted to give us a treat. We ended up at a nice cosy place near the Civic Centre were there was also a marina. Susie and Leo had never been there either so it was a case of ordering something we were familiar with. Although the food was OK it was not as good as we had the previous two nights. When we d I musgot back it was time to eat all those fruits we bought when we went to Everglades, delicious mangoes, peaches and jack fruit. Although Susie had cut the dragon fruit I never tasted it as I just didn't fancy any. I gave Leo a MIM tee shirt and said our goodbyes as he was going out to work early in the morning most probably before we got up.
