2nd June 2009; Norfolk VA

I was praying hard for a big birthday gift from Uncle Sam, my own bloody car!! After breakfast I called Ronald Schuyler of EPA who confirmed safe receipt of the MOU I had faxed yesterday and that he would draft the letter of exemption, thank God for small mercies!!  Then we waited and twiddled our thumbs!

I felt like having rice today and being the Birthday boy, I naturally had a choice of what I wanted. I got the Chinese takeaway menu from the reception earlier and Alison ordered two dishes one beef (hot & spicy naturally) and the other chicken for lunch. The portion was quiet big and enough to provide us dinner as well. Poor Adrian only had plain fried rice with nothing in it, not even an egg!

Toward the end of the day, I was exited upon receiving an email from EPA with the letter of exemption attached. There was also an email from John Trestrail updating me that the forms for Customs and DOT were being emailed to him in the morning the next day. As I had no access to printers, I forwarded to John EPA’s email asking him to fax me the attachment together with the forms when received from the Brokers.

In the evening we finished off the Chinese takeaway, and was forced to watch Cartoon Network with Adrian. Some rules must be made in respect of the TV programme, otherwise I’ll go mad watching Spongebox and stuff like that. Anyway, Adrian is getting ruder by the day watching CN.
