We had arranged to have brunch with David and Joanne this morning and by 10am we were ready to go. David suggested a place nearby rather than going to town as it takes 40 minutes each way and too time consuming. Anyway we were supposed to meet Liyin, an ex-classmate of Alison in the afternoon in town which meant we would have a long time to a hang around after brunch. I was surprised to see the number of people in the restaurant having the same idea as we did, late breakfast. We spent a couple of hours at Joanne's to check email and update the journal and generally chatting while David tried to do his lecture notes. Then we waited to be contacted by Liyin which she did at about 2.30pm and arranged to meet in China Town at about 4pm. We all turned up right on time, which was great, right outside the Malaysian restaurant. Liyin had two children with her, Kate and Ben who were paying some attention to Adrian, which made his day. After ordering some food Liyin disclosed their intention of asking us out for dinner, but we had ordered what we thought quite substantial. Anyway, Ken, Liyin's better half was held up by work (that's businessman for you) and Liyin offered to take us around to show us bits of Philadelphia. She drove us round the old part of Phili, then on to the Art Museum where Rocky was filmed and finally ended at the Roosevelt Park for the kids to play. By 7.30pm Adrian was looking tired and the idea of having dinner with one tired boy was not a welcoming thought. So Alison pleaded for a rain check on the dinner which unfortunately prevented us from meeting Ken. We went straight back to Sharon's and had a quick dinner of the left over we brought back from the restaurant with us. As usual I was watching TV and fell asleep on the sofa. When I woke up it was 2am and seeing how comfortable Adrian and Alison looked decide to continue sleeping on the couch and not disturb them
