It took us two and a half hours to break camp and loaded Tuah. We are learning and getting the hang of loading and distributing the various items to the right laces, maybe!
The extra night cost us €33.80 and we set off for Bordeaux at 11.30 am but not before Adrian had his ice cream. Strange sound was heard coming from the front of Tuah. My first thought was the transmission which I had to put on 4 wheel drive to get out of the campsite. I was extremely worried but eventually sorted it out by moving the 4 wheel drive selector lever a few times while Tuah was stopped. I was not tired but just could not keep my eyes open while driving. The weather was turning cloudy and Alison’s suggestion to stop somewhere before Bordeaux for the night was welcomed with open arms. By the time we reached Poitiers, it was already drizzling and I didn’t fancy putting the tent up just for one night. The campsites only provided pitches and we made a bee line for the B&B we passed earlier, whew!
Everyone was happy especially knowing that we can get internet access. |
