Talk about great minds thinking alike! We all (including Adrian??) decided that it was not worth the effort to go out in the hot sun, just for the sake of getting out. So after breakfast we had a rest and then went out for a walk in the opposite direction we normally walk.

In the meantime Alison had made enquiries about bus services that would take us to Downtown Norfolk or Virginia Beach. Apparently, there are two buses that can take us to Downtown Norfolk but we need to change 4 times to go to the beach.

Paul Gowen of RAC was fortunately on hand to clarify that the AA of the USA do not recognize the carnet as issued by other automobile associations and would not therefore, stand guarantee on such documents.

I couldn’t sleep well last night, perhaps because I took the lasixs tablets late at night or maybe the excitement of travelling today had got into me.
