Talk about great minds thinking alike! We all (including Adrian??) decided that it was not worth the effort to go out in the hot sun, just for the sake of getting out. So after breakfast we had a rest and then went out for a walk in the opposite direction we normally walk.
Surprisingly, the marina and some new apartments is just a few minute walk away and we could see the shore line some distance further, when we got on top of the bridge spanning the entry to the Marina. Before we could go any further, I felt the urge (not the urge one normally thinks of), but to go to the loo. As one grows older, I discovered that one cannot control the urges as when one was young. Or is it just me!!! We had to turn back and when we got near the hotel we spotted the cleaners accompanied by a woman with a baby just coming out of our room. Of course Alison blew her head off as it is not a done thing in hotels that are run professionally. By this time the hotel staffs know that we don’t take any nonsense, especially Alison anyway, after the caper we had about the room yesterday when we wanted to extend our stay. Well that’s another long story, and the best part was the fact that we could stay in the same room after having been told that we needed to shift. I was a bit more patient but Alison, being a hotelier, just couldn’t understand how they manage the hotel in the manner they do! At lunch time we walked to get Popeye Chicken and biscuit. The first time we came across the franchise was in Aqaba of all places and we know what to expect. I felt the portion was too big especially with side orders that Alison had got. In future we know how to limit the orders. Poor Adrian had been asking for ice cream since morning and he eventually got his way, but then again he couldn’t finish it. I am wondering if he just wanted attention!! The evening saw us having hot dogs from 7/11 as we were both not hungry. Well early to bed early to rise for all of us! |
