26th November 2008 - Kritharia, Volos

I woke up at 0600hrs in rediness to leave and just finished writing the journal when Doug came up asking if we were really going and why not stay one more night. We chatted for a while and around 0915hrs the fire wood he had ordered arrived, all one tonnes of it.  The deliveryman didn't stay to store the wood away saying that he needed an extra man to help out. That left Doug to store the wood all by himself. Of course I couldn't just leave and let him do it all alone.

Thereafter the course took care of itself, and we decided to stay for another night. We had a lovely brunch and Doug had to go to the dentist in the afternoon. We decided to stay and laze around as it was a lovely day with temperature of 21C.

Towards late afternoon Doug called to say that the computer geek  was waiting to go in and fix his modem which can transmit undreds of channel on his TV. The geek was a showman until he got stuck and had to call his friend to come and assist. He left late with a promise to return the next day to finish off the job, hopefully for Doug.

We had a lovely dinner of  lamb chops cooked over the fire and finished off wth apple pie and custard. As we were definitely going the next day we turned in early.
