Sept 9; Innsbruck, Austria

Our German neighbour offered us freshly brewed coffee first thing in the morning when he saw me coming down from the tent. It was a nice gesture and in return we gave them a bottle of apple wine which was given to us. When we were ready we headed for

the Nissan dealer which we found without too much trouble with the satnav. Yes they could have the mirror first thing the next morning was the response to or question and it would cost around €80.

With that assurance given, we were pretty free to do what we wanted the rest of the day. The first thing we headed for was the golden roof in the old town after finding a parking bay nearby. And then it was lunch at McDonalds after which we drove up to the Alpenzoo. We still had a lot of time in our hands and so off to the Swarvoski factory we went. The entrance fee to the museum was €9.50 each and Adrian had to pay as well. Bugger that I thought.

Alison went to ask the counter if there was a shop and that it would be interesting for us to have more variety too see. She was given 3 free tickets for the shop entry only and of course we went to waste our time in it. We had no intention of buying anything in any case an I consoled myself by saying that the pieces would not have the same effect without the proper lighting, if I bought anything.

On the way in our little Adrian fell into a prickly bush while trying to negotiate behind to give me a neck hold. Alison saw him falling and had time to take a photo of the boy struggling to get up. I didn’t realize it was a prickly bush until Alison told me so. Fortunately for Adrian there were not too many thorns stuck on him

By 4.30 pm we were ready to head back to the campsite and when we got back our neighbour again had coffee waiting for us. In the evening after dinner  we went to see Rainer and Simonne in their caravan as the boy was ever willing to go and see what others have.
