I got up pretty late today, well after 9 am and in a bit of a panic considering Tuah had not got a parking permit. I eventually worked out that you need a special credit card to work the machines unless there is a display that all credit cards accepted. Well there wasn’t any machine in the vicinity having that display.
By the time I had breakfast and everyone was ready, it was nearly 11 am and Adrian started his nonsense about wanting to bring everything with him. I asked Alison why she wanted to go to Amsterdam and that started her mood change. We went to Den Hague on the way and Alison expected just one large building instead of a whole town. She got a little bit more upset when I started complaining about the road being difficult to drive on and that it was going to take all day to get to Amsterdam with all the stop and start at traffic lights. She couldn’t tolerate anymore and started crying and cursing at the same time, saying that I didn’t want to go to Amsterdam in the first place.
We finally got to Amsterdam and found a parking bay that took coins. We just had enough for 2 hours and we rushed around like mad heading for the flower market. There were loads of tulip bulbs for sale and of all things cactus. I got three potted cactus for Hannah and wonder if she would like them. Anyway I like them and they only need watering every two weeks.
Alison was looking for shoes which she couldn’t find as she never went into the shops. No point looking from the outside I thought but she insisted that none of the shops had the particular shoes she was looking for. Adrian in the meanwhile got what was promised to him on the way out, a Clone wars bear from McD. I got myself Omega 3 tablets and the foot spray fro Bodyshop. We took almost 1.5 hours to get back to Zul’s place.
