18 May 2008 - Ceuta (Moroccan Border)

Ghani's Dictaphone was swiped by a tout at the border, as we were trying to cross into Morocco

12 June 2008 - 60km outside Milan, in Highway Rest Area carpark

Tuah's front passenger window was smashed and Alison's BuiltNY bag, from the Baby Loft was taken. It contained various little bits and bobs, including :

  • 20 days supply of Acuvue daily Contact Lenses
  • Myo Health Clenching Inhibitor (Mouth Guard)
  • A months supply of one a day antihistamines
  • Manicure set
  • A jar of John Frieda's Miraculous Recovery Intense Conditioner (for hair)
  • Estee lauder Compact Powder
  • Lancome Lip Gloss
  • OPI hand cream
  • Adrian 's sunblock
  • Adrian 's nail clippers

Second Leg, London to Cape Town


30 December 2008 - Cairo

 The following items were stolen from Tuah by a valet parking attendant at the Europa Hotel in Cairo:

-Alison's powered Arnette Sunglasses, from the glove compartment
-Garmin Nuvi GPS with UK and Middle East mapping software, from the glove compartment
-Garmin in car charger, from the cigarette lighter socket
-Ghani's Sony HD Video Camera, from the rear of the car
-All our video tape footage for the Second Leg of our travels, in the camera bag from the rear of the car

We discovered the missing items while still in Cairo, but in another hotel down the road. A police report was made and one of the parking atendants was arrested, but our items have yet to be recovered.
